So after the display filled out with all kinds of goodies, and being out of survival mode, I decided... oooooh, let's go and collect all of her cd's at long last! I had already gotten all of Paris Hilton's cd's, I've got this big shelf full of stuff... I should go about getting all of Britney's cds too, which were all ordered in an approximately 24 hour period of eachother, check that link for details on that adventure. But back to this page. Since the fangirling sections are somewhat new, much like the L5R page, we'll need to have links pointing all over the place, since Britney's been scattered everywhere until now. Thankfully, most items are in the: Kabucam gallery, look for, well, anything that says Britney really, I did an unboxing of her miniverse miniature records in 2026, showed her flag in 2025 (also here), and posted her book in 2023. I've also got a Britney Spears Oracle deck! That's in the divination page. And we've also got a Britney Spears patch on my backpack! The rest of this shelf I collected generally and slowly over time, though the books I generally got on release day, as did I with the Goddess Fantasy perfume (the one on the right with the mini record sleeve hanging off of it). I picked up the DVD's online, most of the perfumes in shops, the dolls online (the large funko in store tho), the gameboy game (I debate whether to get the Playstation version too, but don't have a way of playing that one), and yeah... the collection slowly grew and is still growing. As said above, I'll be getting all of her cds and putting them on a shelf somehow (clearly it won't fit in this display, but I'll find a place for them), and see if I want anything else that she or her team releases. It's a safe bet that a lot of the things she released in the past will find their way into my collection too, and the shelf will inevitably grow (also because of the other fangirlings) and find a larger space to occupy. Now, there is just *too much* to photograph everything Britney individually (unlike Paris, which we managed to do), so I mainly need to leave you with my display shelf, that giant, rare banner that I bought from her shop through a limited offer shown only on Spotify, and a story. The display shelf started, more or less, with Britney's biography The Woman In Me, and the dvd Crossroads. By blind chance I have two copies of it, because the first one that I ordered online was too scratched up, and became my display piece, and the other sits with the rest of the dvds. So no real complaints, sorta. I've had a number of her perfume line for a long time as well, and some of those found their way into the display (I've got like 8 someodd bottles, so too many to put out for now). After that, I bought DVD's for some of her concert tours, and began pondering getting one of her original dolls. They did have those funko dolls available in-store, so I bought one of those, and that was cool, but didn't scratch that itch. In my searching online for which and what is available, I discovered that mini-funko after, and while I was scratching itches, that original Curious perfume with the vintage-style atomizer pump found its way into my possession as well. The original dolls though were quite expensive, so I waited to see if I'd be happy enough with the funko pops. They released that mini-verse Britney ball, I bought the gameboy game Britney's Dance Beat, and several books, Song by Song (written by a known massive Britney enthusiest and cataloguer), What Britney Says, filled with her famous quotes, and at this point, I decided that I needed one of the original dolls (and the LittlePeople collection for the "one of each type of doll released" mentality, but that set was readily available online). So... I knew these weren't that easy to find inexpensively, and availability would be limited. So I decided that for an original Britney doll, I wouldn't be too picky. After a bit of searching, I found this Born to Make You Happy doll for like... £50, mainly because the box lid had a rip (but was unopened), and that crinkle in the plastic (and the thin elastic holding the brush being broken, but those are very thin and brittle, and the elastic breaking looks common). The doll inside looked immaculate, I can live with a crinkle, let's get it! And it indeed appeared unopened, that brittle brush elastic was still just *barely* clinging to the back of the cardboard in its original place, and the brush was sitting below. I replaced the elastic with some cotton string, re-sealed the box with the original sticker, and that's how it now stays. And presently, that's more or less where the collection sits! Another book is showing up in December (I pre-ordered Britney Spears A Visual Celebration when it was announced), and at this point, any new pieces to add to the collection will be shown below. So, until then... |
